At Long Last, Boeing’s Dreamliner Takes Flight

After a delay of more than three years, Boeing’s much-hyped jet, the 787, made its first commercial flight, from Tokyo to Hong Kong — and landed on-time. After about six years in the making, the new 747-8 Intercontinental will soon be flying passengers. Boeing has handed over the first of the planes to Lufthansa to start use in June 1.

What I personally find interesting about the new features of this plane is its windows, which are apparently 30 percent larger than those on older jets. From the middle of the plane, one can even glance out part of the windows. Instead of shades, the windows come equipped with a glare-reducing, dimming system. Lovely!!!
